 Proven technology and engineering excellence have landed ProCurve an InfoWorld 2008 Technology of the Year Award. An annual event, this award identifies "the best and most innovative products on the IT landscape."
Based on the publication's testing and reviews of networking products in the past year, the ProCurve Switch 2810 was awarded Best Workgroup Switch. According to InfoWorld, the 2810 "stands out in the depth of its management features and configuration ease - its functionality moves it out of the basic switch category and positions it to help architects build more robust, secure networks."
"InfoWorld tests upwards of 200 IT products every year, and we see many, many good ones," said Doug Dineley, InfoWorld's Test Center Executive Editor. "Our Technology of the Year award winners represent not only the cream of the crop, but the best products in the most important product categories...these are the products at the leading edge of IT."
In addition to the 2810, InfoWorld praises the ProCurve 1800 line of switches saying "Each goes a long way toward meeting the goal of substantial management capability in an easy-to-use package."
