John McHugh, VP and General Manager, ProCurve Networking by HPAn Environmental Message from John McHugh
VP and General Manager, ProCurve Networking by HP

Hewlett-Packard is committed to reducing its own environmental impact, as well as that of its customers, partners and suppliers. The company is working toward developing products and services that are environmentally sound by conducting operations in a responsible manner.

As an HP business, ProCurve Networking is designing and manufacturing products that comply with key worldwide environmental directives. In addition, our products are being refurbished and resold – helping to reduce waste and demand on environmental resources. We continue to make strides toward producing networking products that provide efficiencies in the critical area of energy consumption. Our outstanding product reliability and ProCurve Lifetime Warranty increase the useful life of our products, thereby reducing the need for additional resources to replace existing equipment. ProCurve also has pioneered the use of efficient wiring closet chassis to replace "stackable" products, which reduces power consumption and minimizes the proliferation of power supplies.

Reinforcing our commitment to the industry and standards leadership, ProCurve holds a key position on the IEEE committee driving the development and implementation of the new worldwide Energy Efficient Ethernet Standard.

Environmental sustainability is an essential element of global citizenship at ProCurve and is vital to our long-term business and your success.
